DW: Captain Chiriboga, this is Staff Sergeant Daniel Wyatt. I lead a team of UNSC Army Pathfinders currently stationed on the UNSC Free-

MC: I know, Sergeant. I was told you'd be contacting me.

DW: Well, sir, I have some intel that we've collected for your efforts down here.

MC: Send them over.

MC: What's with the quality?

DW: The Innies have a weak jamming array active. They're working on improving it, and there's a device at this base that'll help 'em do that.

MC: What kind of device?

DW: I don't have the clearance to know too much about the device, but I was informed to tell you that it has a strong but localized radio jammer in it.

MC: They're planning to disassemble it at this base?

DW: No, sir, our operative on the inside says they have plans to transport it to an off-shore oil platform where the Innies fashioned themselves a research facility.

MC: How well fortified is the base?

DW: It's thoroughly stocked. It's not manned like your average guerrilla camp. We've been watching for two weeks and the population here has only grown bigger. It seems that they've deemed this the region's logistical headquarters.

DW: Every night a convoy comes in from Pyrgos, usually with Prisoners or more things needing transport to their R&D facility.

MC: We'll be outnumbered then?

DW: Most likely. My recommendation would be that you cut the power, which appears to be controlled by the power station on the southern most side.

MC: How about air? What do the air defenses look like around here?

DW: I wouldn't say attacking the base directly with air is a great idea either, there's an airbase to southwest.

MC: That gives me a good idea, actually...

DW: I'll try to get info on the R&D facility, in the mean time I'll move my surveillance teams out of the area so your men have plenty of breathing room. Good luck, Captain.

MC: Thank you, Sergeant. Captain Chiriboga, out.

ER: Good evening, Captain.

MC: Good evening, Sir.

ER: Excellent work on Cenobia. Alpha Company and the 17th Squadron showed exceptional bravery. It was a tough situation...

MC: Thank you, Sir. My men did the best they could. There was only so many people we could save, but we did show the Innies what happens when you put our brothers in danger.

ER: That you did. I won't beat around the bush here, Captain; a lot was left behind on Cenobia.

MC: Of course, sir.

ER: ONI has some sensitive materials left on Eastern Altis. Right now we're the only remaining combat unit in the sector, so we've been tasked with recovery. Command has authorised Operation CLOSURE.

MC: And what will this entail?

ER: It'll be too risky to have the Green Widow in orbit, but there are some wet navy vessels that managed to escape detection.

MC: The wet navy is on Cenobia, sir?

ER: Affirmative. There is a vessel close enough to the AO that we can send you down to, the UNSC Freedom.

MC: Do we have locations for these sensitive materials?

ER: The majority of them should be found at the UEG Embassy in Pyrgos. Between you and me, there was an underground research facility located there. It was scuttled before Pyrgos fell, but the extremely important stuff was extracted. Given the results of our evac efforts, it's likely that materials are still floating around down there, and its extremely likely that they are in the wrong hands.

MC: How loud can we be?

ER: We've been advised by command to launch in ten days to allow the situation on the ground to settle. The nuclear device you set off and the disappearance of their battalion officer, without a doubt, created chaos. It would be far too volatile to deploy you now. I would recommend trying to operate with the element of surprise as much as is feasible. An army reconnaissance team is stationed on the UNSC Freedom and will be dispatched to try to obtain as much intel as they can so we can figure out how we're going to take get into Pyrgos.

MC: Why don't we knock, sir?

ER: Very funny. According to the First Lieutenant you rescued from OP Backlash, there wasn't any damage reported to the city's walls. I figure that they'll be reinforcing them. Prioritize collecting Intel on Pyrgos in conjunction with retrieving ONI's toys.

MC: I hope they don't put one between our eyes for seeing what they're working on, sir.

ER: Mhm. Colonel Railen out.

A message from Capt. Marco Chiriboga, unit commander.

Welcome all to our brand new forums, and our brand new adventure! Now that we have most of our important things in order, we can finally start working like a real proper unit. I'm writing this before I've publicly released the forums, but once I have, we can finally consider recruitment to be open

In regards to our scheduling, the votes are in and the schedule will be as follows:
  • Training will occur weekly on Fridays at 7:30pm EST.
  • Basic and specialized training will be separate from the regular Friday training, and will be on every other Sunday, based on need.
  • Operations will occur weekly on Saturdays at 8:00pm EST.
  • We will be having a bi-weekly unit game night on Sundays at 8:00pm EST, alternating with the Basic/Specialized training mentioned above.
We will be re-working the way each of you are specialized, and you may have to re-qualify for your MOS or choose a new one entirely. In addition to that, our training regiment is different than what we learned in our previous unit, so it will be required that all members, new and old, go through the new basic training at least one time. Of course, if in the future you ever want a refresher course, you are welcome to do it again with any future basic class.

Leaves and Discharges
On the topic of discharges and leaves of absence, you will notice that there are forums dedicated to these things in "The Recruitment Station" section of the forums. PLEASE DO NOT post in there yet, the forms are not set up yet and are of low priority. If you have issues concerning either of those things, please message any of the members of Personnel Command (PERSCOM) as they are listed on the Staff Page.

I've been wanting to cut down the amount of mods we use for a while, and while I eventually want to move away from using a Steam collection to having just one mod file, for now we're sticking to a Steam collection, which you'll find here. Sometimes, there are mods we'll use that are not on the Steam Workshop. For people who are unsure how to install these mods, there will be a tutorial going up very soon.

I'm looking forward to the future with all of you as a unit and a community of friends. All of us can do this right, and I'm certain that we will do this right.

Capt. M. Chiriboga, out.
